Adopt Me: Duke Silver, a 6 y/o Male Silver Labrador, who is looking for his forever home.

Here is a bio from his foster family:

"Hi!  My name is Duke and I am a 6 year old silver Labrador.  I am a big boy - 115 lbs, and I am a bit taller than most  American labs in general; however, I need to lose some weight, which  is currently a work in progress.  I need a furever home that will be firm and consistent with me as I have been an only dog for some time.  I am a good learner, but can be obstinate at times.  I am not aggressive toward other dogs, but since I have been an only dog, I don’t know how to interact productively with them yet (another work in progress).  I am housebroken and know how to use a doggie door. I do not currently kennel.  However, I am trainable.  I know the command “sit."  I’m learning to lay down upon request.   I know the commands:  “No,”  “Out of the kitchen,” “Sit,” “Come,” “Off" and I’m learning the command “Heel,” and “Stay."  I walk pretty well on a leash, and also currently working on this to get better.  I love riding in the car and love going for walks.  I currently walk in the desert for 3 miles.  I know how to play frisbee and will bring it back to you and give it to you if you say "drop it.”  I am not a couch potato, I love to play and have a balanced amount of energy,  I just learned how to play with a squeaky bone.  But, I do love to lay on the couch with you.  I love to be loved and scratched all over.
I am looking for my furever home that will give me love, scratches, attention, and take me for walks. I will do well in a home that continues to train me with affection, confidence and structure".

Adopt Me: Lemon, a 5 year old Female Yellow Labrador, who is looking for her forever home.

Her is a bio from her foster family:

"Meet Lemon 🍋

Lemon is a 5-year-old sweetheart who is full of life and love! She has a playful spirit and absolutely loves the water—if there’s a swimming pool nearby, you can bet Lemon will be the first one in! 🏊‍♀️

She’s fantastic with kids and would make an amazing family dog. Lemon also enjoys playing fetch and will happily keep you entertained with her fun, energetic personality.

Lemon is very well-trained and knows commands like sit, lay down, drop it, and leave it. She’s also potty trained, making her an easy addition to a home.

She gets along well with small dogs, and larger dogs with proper introductions. Lemon has learned cats aren't scary, and is co-existing well now.

More than anything, Lemon is incredibly sweet and loving. She’s the kind of dog who will bring joy, laughter, and lots of cuddles into your life.

If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Lemon might just be your perfect match 💛"

Adopt Me: Maverick, a 2 year old Male Yellow Labrador, who is looking for his forever home.

Here is an UPDATED bio from his foster family:

"Maverick is the happiest dog. Full of energy and love and the desire to please. He does well in a crate at night and when you have to leave for the day. Maverick rides well in a car, and loves camping. He knows how to use the doggy door and no longer has accidents in the house. He loves playing with other dogs as long as he is introduced. He gets excited when new people come over but with guidance he calms down and can greet people with respect after a couple minutes. Inside the home and fenced areas he responds immediately to his name. Maverick learns quickly as long as you stay consistent with your directions for him. He is always down for a great game of tug or fetch, and wrestling with his foster sisters or sleeping under the desk with them for WFH foster mom."

***Please read carefully for Maverick full medical disclosure***

Maverick has been diagnosed with Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia. This is a genetic defect that we discovered through our routine examination with our Vet, and immediately set up an evaluation with a cardiologist. Upon completion of the echocardiogram with the doctor, it was decided that Maverick does not require any medication at this time to manage the dysplasia, and should be checked again in 12 months. This diagnosis shouldn't change much for Maverick, he should live a long and happy life. His diet does need to managed more closely, he should stay leaner with a balanced grain/protein diet. Maverick would not be suited as a long distance running/hiking buddy, but still should have regular and routine exercise. There is always the chance later in life Maverick might need medication to manage his heart, we cannot say for sure either way. For any families interested in Maverick, we are happy to forward the medical information for review.
