Our intake coordinator has the toughest, most complicated job in the rescue. They are in constant contact with our network of shelters across Nevada and Utah, juggling the needs of prospective labs with the availability of open foster homes at any given time.

All potential incoming dogs are required to a behavioral assessment, pictures and video before the coordinator can agree to take them into LVLR. There must be an open LVLR foster family for the incoming dog. Finally, there is transportation into Las Vegas to arrange!

It’s a situation of constantly moving pieces that relies the fantastic work of volunteers from a variety of sources.
