Adopted: Cali, a 9 year old Female Yellow Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Cali is such a very sweet and loveable little girl. She is like a puppy who just never finished growing in to her skin, which translates into a very soft, fluffy coat and extremely huggable. She is very well behaved, never trying to get anything off of the kitchen counter, or off of your dinner plate. As long as you acknowledge her, she has no need to jump on anyone. She barks when appropriate (not excessively) – when someone is at the door, or on your property. . . you will know it!

Cali is full of love and freely gives and receives kisses, hugs, belly rubs, head scratches…. She is a snuggler! She sleeps with me (and very quietly, except for an occasional little snore, which is actually very cute in her case) although I think she would be happy in a bed on the floor next to you, if that is your preference. She would not be happy to sleep in another room, separated from you.

Cali is good on a leash, and loves to go for walks so that she can sniff the world. She is very aware of her surroundings and keeps a close eye on everything. She loves to play fetch and being chased is one of her favorite things. As for treats, well, she would just as soon have a bowl of veggies (broccoli, carrots and green beans) as a milk bone. She often goes and stands in front of the refrigerator to let me know that she has not had her daily quota of veggies.

Of course she is not perfect – how boring would that be? In her mind, birds and cats exist to be chased, and I am a cruel foster mom because I won’t let her. . . .c’est la vie. She’s forgiving though and doesn’t seem to hold it against me, but boy, would she LOVE to chase a bird or a cat!!! They just know better than to come near my yard.

Cali would do well in a household where she gets a lot of love and can give a lot of love. She would be a great addition to any family, AS a family member. Single person, large family, I don’t think that it matters to her. She’s great with a doggie door, and has had no accidents in my home. For a 9 year old, she still has a lot of puppy personality.
