Adopted: Kenya, a 3.5 year old Female Chocolate Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Kenya is a sweet and very happy dog with lots of energy and enthusiasm. She knows her basic commands and is generally pretty responsive to a strong “No” when doing something she is not supposed to. Kenya is fully house trained and has seemed to quickly adapt to a routine and rules for her new surroundings. She does pull on the leash on walks, but is already improving. When Kenya gets really excited (usually around new people), she does tend to lose some manners and jump. She likes other dogs and is friendly, but in my experience with her at the dog park, she will give a few growls if she feels threatened. She loves all people and always wants to be involved in whatever you are doing. She follows me around the house and will always want to be in the same room with me. Like most Labs, she loves to eat and came to me with a few extra pounds, but with a consistent diet and regular exercise, she should be just fine.
Kenya would thrive in a loving and active family where she can be a part of the day to day activities of the household. I can’t speak to how she would be with other pets in the house, but I don’t anticipate an issue. Kenya is a beautiful dog who deserves to be part of a great forever family!
Kenya has had hip and ACL surgery, for which she has fully recovered, and while she isn't suited to be a running or hiking partner, she is active and healthy. Kenya does have allergies, which is being managed with medication.
Kenya will make a great addition to any family looking for a new companion."

Adopted: Ebony, a 2 year old Black Female Labrador, who is looking for her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"Ebony is a sweetheart of a dog who is full of energy and very lovable. She is a quick learner who learned how to use the dog door and walk on a leash without pulling. She knows the basic commands, comes when called, sits before leaving the kennel, and responds well to voice commands. We don’t know if she is good with cats because ours cat is shy around strangers, four and two legged ones. However, Ebony is adapting to living with our other two dogs. She displays some natural behavior that comes from being a stray, being in shelters, and in unknown environments. If Ebony is approached too quickly by another dog or perceives that she is in a vulnerable position, she will growl and/or posture to fight. She is not displaying any attack-mode behavior but she definitely defend herself if she feels threatened. We are working through these issues using my dogs to socialize her to more appropriate behavior. She has only been with us a few days, but with each day she becomes more and more comfortable around our dogs and home. I firmly believe that once Ebony is adopted to her forever family, and the more comfortable and secure she becomes, the less she will exhibit these types of behaviors and fully display the joyous, happy girl that she can be! If you have other dogs in your home, please be prepared with a plan to properly integrate Ebony into the pack, as this will take time, security and structure. Ebony will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family."

Adopted: Molly, a 10 week old Female Chocolate Labrador, has found her forever home.

Here is a Bio from her foster family……..

"PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Molly is a gorgeous little bundle of puppy love! As with any puppy, Molly will need to continually learn boundaries, through structure and repetition, over the next year. She is very smart, progressing well on potty training and sleeping through the night. Molly does good when crated and gives cues when she needs to go outside. Molly is active and playful, sweet and affectionate and already loves swimming and playing in water. She is still a puppy, which means there are times in the day she's a whirling dervish of mischievousness. As Molly is in her puppy stage, where everything goes in her mouth, she needs supervision to teach her good toys versus bad. Molly needs a strong leader to guide her through the puppy months, teach her appropriate behaviors and she will grow into being a great dog.
If you're interested in Molly, please make sure you're committed to training a puppy over the course of the next year. Molly is a blank slate, eager to learn and ready to be taught what to do, and needs time, patience and consistency. If you have small children, under 10, in the home, please carefully consider before requesting a meeting with Molly and make sure a puppy is a good fit for your home."
MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Molly has a medical condition, Hypoplastic (recessed) vulva. Read about it: Recessed Vulva

In the best interest of Molly's long term health, her mandatory spay will be delayed several months, which will require her adopting family to be diligent in communication with LVLR and adhere to specific medical requirements by specific dates, strictly through LVLR's Veterinarian, without any delay or negotiation. Before requesting to meet Molly, please take time to read about the condition, talk with your veterinarian, and discuss with pertinent family members the additional requirements adopting Molly will require. It is imperative that Molly's adopting family commit to following our medical protocols and are prepared to contractually adhere to all requirements."

Adopted: Sheriff, a 10 month old Male Yellow Labrador

  • Sheriff-5

  • Sheriff-12
  • Sheriff-20
  • Sheriff-23

Adopted: Sheriff, a 10 month old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

Here is a Bio from his foster family……..

"At 10 months old and 55 lbs., Sheriff is as lovable as they come! He is all puppy, but is house broken and has mastered the doggie door very quickly. Whereas he really hates the crate, once he is in it, he does not fight it and he sleeps in it through the night. Of course, in true Labrador fashion, he is curious about everything and ready to play as soon as he wakes up. We're working on leash training, which he evidently has never had, but he is a quick learner and has already come a long way, in just 48 hours.

Sheriff needs a home where he can snuggle up to someone. He loves to be held, have his head and chest rubbed. He is so happy being near to you. He's definitely a hands-on kind of child. He is all about being loved!

He would probably do well in a home with another dog, but certainly not necessary. He still likes to chew (he's a puppy) so any children would need to be taught how to put a chew toy in his mouth if he goes for something he shouldn't have. . . and he's been very good about this.

Sheriff is so adorable and will make someone a truly wonderful pet/child/friend!!"

"Harry is an adorable little spitfire! As with any puppy, Harry will need to continually learn boundaries, through structure and repetition, over the next year. He is very smart, progressing well on potty training and getting better sleeping through the night. We're working on crate training, as it is a very new concept for him, but he improves with consistency. Harry is active and playful, sweet and affectionate, but he is still a puppy, which means there are times in the day he's a whirling dervish of mischievousness. As Harry is merely 3 months old, he's in his puppy stage of EVERYTHING going in his month, although his favorite item this week is socks. Harry needs a strong leader to guide him through the puppy months, teach him appropriate behaviors and he will grow into being a great dog.
If you're interested in Harry, please make sure you're committed to training a puppy over the course of the next year.
