Adopted: Max, a 6-7 year old Male Yellow Labrador, has found his forever home.

Max is a special boy, that will need some extra love, patience & attention to acclimate to a new home. Max came to LVLR through no fault of his own, as his human went in to hospice care. He can be timid at first, understandably, but warms up with time & affection.

Here is a bio from his foster family:

"My name is Max, and I am 6 1/2 years old.  I am a gentle, sweet boy.  I love attention and scratches all over.  I love sitting on the couch with you and getting loves and snuggles.  I am a quiet dog, not rambunctious and don’t play a lot with toys.   I get along with other dogs, but do not interact a lot with them.  I will lay on the floor or my bed pad and watch the action.  I do not like to kennel; however, I am good around the house and not destructive.  I stay out all day loose in the house and if you leave, will lay on my bed or the couch till you get home.   I am house broken and know how to use a doggie door.  I love to travel in the car and load well.  I do not counter surf; however, I will put my paws on the counter and see what you are up to when you are fixing my food, but don’t try and steal food off the counter when you are not looking.   I know how to sit if you put your finger on my back just above my tail and ask me to sit.  I know what “out of the kitchen” means and “go lay down.”  When I am on the leash, I know what “heel” and “here” means.  I also know what “come” means.  I love to go for walks and hikes in the desert and walk well on a leash.  I also love to sit with you at night and share blueberries with you. I sleep through the night on a bed pad next to the bed.   I am looking for a furever home that will give me love, scratches and attention, and take me for walks and rides in the car.

We have a gorgeous update for Doug, who turned 2!

"Doug turned 2! We celebrated our golden boy’s golden birthday on August 2nd. He is so lovable and goofy! We learned that he loves swimming and playing fetch in a pool. Most of all, he loves hunting for bugs and lizards in the backyard."

We have another great Happy Tail this time for Gia (formerly Sammi)

"Gia is a perfect addition to our family! At the home visit, she seemed to know she had found her new home as she dropped my sandals into my lap and sat between us at the door instead of following her foster family. Since she came to us in May of 2024, she has completed individual classes with PC Dog Training, and now loves seeing her friends at group classes twice a week. Gia loves to meet new people and dogs, which was a plus as she has traveled to 15 states with us. We knew from the start that Gia's temperament would be perfect for being around our granddaughter, who was 1 ½ when Gia joined us. Gia is gentle with her and never far from her. Gia loves cuddles, chewing her bone after dinner, and taking sun baths. Thank you for helping us find Gia!

The updates and Happy Tails are simply incredible, we love hearing about our Labs.

Here is a Happy Tail for Ferris (formerly Fowler)

"Ferris has become the sweetest boy in our house. At first we were a bit hesitant with the level of his separation anxiety, but once he settled in and realized our home was his fur-ever home it all went away. We are so happy to have him part of our family.

We are absolutely convinced Ferris was sent to us by our 2 previous labs as he is a combination of both their personalities

He loves his morning snuggles and is oh so proud of himself when he finds the squeaker in a new toy

We just need to find him a brother or sister; we want to get our dog a dog

Respectfully

Matt & PJ"

We are so happy to hear the Happy Tail for Wisk-E the Traveler (formerly Duke)!

'Wisk-E (formerly Duke) was adopted at the end of December 2024.  Since, he has traveled to Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Alberta, British Columbia, Alaska, Washington, and Oregon.  He doesn't mind the drive, except for the Alaska Highway which had more frost heaves than expected.  The king and ambassador of any RV park that he visits and he loves to sit for photo shoots.

He brings joy and love to our family.

Thank you LV Lab Rescue. "

We have a wonderful up date for Montana (formerly Bambi)

"Montana is the sweetest dog ever. Her favorite thing is to lay on the couch right between my legs to take her daily naps. She has a younger sister who is also a chocolate lab and they are inseparable. They play together and will occasionally “talk” to eachother. They go on nightly walks to the park and she loves to play fetch. We celebrated her fourth birthday and she was there when I got engaged. We originally adopted her to bring our first lab a friend, but we gained so much more having her join our family. We are so thankful for you guys for rescuing her and bringing her to us."
